Role – RAR Development Consultant

Reports to: Manager within Professional Services

Travel: 80% – 100%

Position Overview:

As a RAR Development Consultant, you will assist Bramasol’s Professional Services team in providing clients with a unique business and technology perspective on how to transform the finance function – reducing cost base, increasing efficiency and quality of information, and improving decision-making through the following core areas: finance operating model design; asset management, capital management, business performance management and reporting, finance process improvement, finance system implementation and enabling regulatory and statutory financial compliance.

Primary duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

List the primary job duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in business workshops

  • Gather technical requirements related to the gaps identified in the proposal w.r.t standard solution.

  • Prepare technical design document

  • Prepare test scripts and perform Unit Testing

  • Provide support during System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing

  • Assist in cutover planning and data migration activities

  • Assist SAP Data Services Consultants & SAP BI / BW Consultants in defining the functional requirements.

  • Provide post-go-live support.

  • Revenue Accounting and Recognition (RAR) Expert.

  • The solution scope of the SAP RAR is as follows:

    • Upload of Revenue Accounting items either from SAP SD, SAP CI/CIFA, or Third Party system

    • Define interface components

    • Maintain & generate Revenue Accounting item classes

    • Define source document item types & sender components

    • Maintain BRF+ structure & decision tables Revenue Accounting contracts

  • The following SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (SAP RAR) functional components will be implemented

    • Adapter re-use layer

    • Contract Management

    • Revenue Accounting Persistent Layer

    • Posting Management

    • Reporting

    • FI and COPA Component

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors (BS) in computer science, Software Engineering, Technology Management or related field

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with RAR development

  • Minimum of 1 full lifecycle SAP RAR implementations required

  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

  • Experience working in a fast-changing retail environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments

  • Experience delivering Proof of Concepts

  • Knowledge of all phase of SDLC and full lifecycle implementations

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills to effectively interact with project team members and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
